User's Manual

The angle of inclination of the presence detector must be set
such that the AIR field is located as close to the moving door
panels as possible. Pay attention to the red LED and move
the test card along the floor through the open door in order
to determine the distance between the field and the door
panels. See section 12.1 for setting the angle of inclination.
13.1
Distance between the detection area and the door
Set the width of the detection area in such a way that at least
the full opening width of the door is monitored. Pay attention
to the red LED and, using the test card, check the width and
position of the field along the floor on both sides. See
section 10.7 for setting the detection width.

Testing the field settings
It is best to determine the position of the detection area using a test card*. With advantage you use a wide sheet of paper (i.e. A4
horizontally) as a test card. Please note that any test card used should provide the strongest possible contrast to the background (the
floor area).

Mechanical settings of the active infrared field
The angle of inclination of the AIR
lenses can be variably adjusted from
–7° to 5° at the adjusting screw. Please
note that the background change in
the process and that the sensor must
undertake teach-in of the new back-
ground information (see section 10.4).

10.10 Depth of detection area
The AIR area of the presence detector is divided into two rows of light
dots in depth. This function can be used for deactivating either the one
or the other of the two rows in accordance with the adjacent table.
Level 1 is in accordance with prEN 12650 / DIN 18650.
Levels 2 and 3 are not in accordance with prEN12650 / DIN 18650.
Please refer to the safety instructions on page 22 and chapter 19.2 which
contain information about the LED displays in this regard.
Note
The depth of the detection area can be combined at will with the width
of the detection area (see section 10.7). The following illustrations always
show the fields at maximum width (B+5).

Programming using the control keys (without the remote control unit)
A few functions of the motion detector (field width, sensitivity and polarity of the test input) can be set without remote control,
i.e., directly at the sensor using the control keys (emergency settings). However, for the purpose of completeness and for optimum
operation of your automatic door, it is recommended to use the remote control for programming. Please consult your contact person
or visit the website of the manufacturer for additional instructions concerning programming without remote control.
