Detection Mode
Depending on measurement settings, more data points are collected than there
are pixels on the screen. Detection modes allow the user to choose how the col-
lected data in each pixel is represented.
+ Peak Detection
Returns the maximum value of the data collected for each display pixel. Recom-
mended for pure sine waves or narrow bandwidth signals. In zero-span mode, it
acts like a peak detector and can be used to show AM band frequencies.
- Peak Detection
Returns the minimum value of the data collected for each display pixel. Recom-
mended for displaying the difference between CW and pulsed signals.
Sample Detection
Returns a sample of the data collected for each display pixel. Use this method
for detecting noise-like signals.
Average Power
Returns the average of the data collected for each display pixel. Recommended
for noise-reduction.
