Getting Ready to Clean 1 2 Install the edge cleaning brushes and the battery according to the assembly instructions. Leave the power switch on and charge the battery directly from power cord for 4-5 hours prior to the first operation. 3 Use the invisible wall to keep the robot from cleaning in areas where obstructions have not been removed.
Initial Charging of the Battery: AC/DC Adaptor 1 NOTE: The unit will not charge if the power switch is OFF. Plug the adaptor plug into the port directly next to the power switch first, and then plug the other end in to the wall outlet. Turn on the power switch of the unit ON. The initial charge will take 4-5 hours. For the initial charge, plug the wall adaptor directly into the charging port on the robot vacuum and turn the power ON.
Recharging the Battery: Docking Station 1 NOTE: The unit will not charge if the power switch is OFF. Make sure the docking station is installed correctly with at least 40 inches to one side, 12 inches to the opposing side and no obstructions in front of the docking station. After the initial charge is complete, plug the wall adaptor directly into the docking station. To test the auto-charge feature of the dock, turn the power switch on the vacuum on, and select “00“ with the center button.
The Invisible Wall*: Assembly & Use 1 2 To remove the battery cover, hold the invisible wall and press firmly while sliding downward to remove the battery cover. Insert batteries with the +/- terminals facing the directions indicated and replace the battery cover. (AA batteries not included) 3 To turn on the virtual wall slide the switch away from the light towards the (I) symbol. Wait 10 seconds between turning it on or off. *Requires 4AA batteries.
SmartClean and Dark or Black Surfaces NOTE: Be aware that shiny surfaces and black floors might confuse your robot. IMPORTANT! SmartClean may not run on certain dark or black colored surfaces. The cliff sensors that recognize an edge or a stair may view this color as an edge and will not clean over it. TIP! If you encounter this situation, place an Invisible Wall 6 inches from the edge of the stairs to prevent the robot from going over the stairs. 10 www.BISSELL.

Cleaning the Dust Bin WARNING To reduce the risk of electric shock, turn power switch off and disconnect plug from electrical outlet before performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks. 1 2 Push the top cover to open. 3 Pull up the dust bin handle and take out the dust bin from the cleaner. 4 Open the top cover of dust bin. Unsnap dust bin filter. Empty the dust and dirt from the dust bin. IMPORTANT! For optimal performance, empty the SmartClean dirt bin and clean the filter after every use.
Cleaning the Dust Bin cont. 6 5 Rinse the dust bin with tap water. It is not necessary to wash every time. Do not machine wash the dustbin. 7 Periodically clean the filter with a soft bristle brush. Do not wash the filter. 8 Once clean, reinstall the filter and close the dust bin lid. WARNING Place dust bin back in cleaner and close top cover. Do not operate vacuum with damp or wet filters, or without filters or the Dust Bin in place. Allow components to dry before reassembling the Dust Bin.
Cleaning the Brush Roll Clean the brush roll frequently. Most hair and other debris are captured in the dirt bin, but some may get tangled on the brush and may affect cleaning performance. To clean the brush, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the power. 2. Flip the robot so the bottom is facing up with the battery compartment away from you and set on a flat surface. 3. Grasp the brush roll cover and gently pull upward toward you to remove. 4.
Cleaning the Sensors After repeated use, dirt and dust can accumulate on the sensors of the vacuum and the working efficiency can be reduced. To ensure the best efficiency, the sensors should be cleaned off periodically by brushing any dirt or debris from them. Before cleaning the sensors, ensure the robot is not attached to the charging cable or dock and the power switch is in the off position.

Avant de commencer à nettoyer 1 2 Installez les brosses de nettoyage des bordures et la batterie conformément aux instructions d'assemblage. Laissez l’interrupteur d’alimentation en position allumée et chargez la batterie à partir du cordon d'alimentation pendant 4 à 5 heures avant de vous servir de l'aspirateur une première fois. 3 Utilisez le mur invisible pour empêcher le robot de nettoyer les zones où les obstacles n'ont pas été retirés.
Chargement initial de la batterie : Adaptateur CA/CC 1 REMARQUE : L'appareil ne se charge pas lorsque l’interrupteur d’alimentation est en position fermée. Insérez d'abord la fiche de l'adaptateur dans le port situé juste à côté de l'interrupteur d’alimentation, puis branchez l'autre extrémité dans la prise électrique. Appuyez sur l'interrupteur d'alimentation en position ON pour mettre l'appareil en marche. La batterie atteint sa pleine charge entre 4 et 5 heures.

Paroi invisible : Assemblage et utilisation 1 2 Pour retirer le couvercle de la batterie, saisissez le mur invisible et appuyez fermement tout en le glissant vers le bas pour retirer le couvercle de la batterie. Insérez les piles en respectant la polarité +/- des bornes indiquée et remettez le couvercle des piles en place. (piles AA non comprises) 3 Pour activer la paroi invisible, faites glisser l’interrupteur des lumières vers le symbole (I). Attendez 10 secondes entre la mise en marche et l’arrêt.
SmartClean et les surfaces noires ou foncées REMARQUE : Soyez avisé que les surfaces lustrées et les planchers noirs peuvent confondre votre robot. IMPORTANT! L'aspirateur SmartClean peut ne pas fonctionner sur certaines surfaces foncées ou noires. Les capteurs d'escarpement qui reconnaissent une bordure ou un escalier peuvent confondre cette couleur avec un bord et le nettoyage n'y sera pas effectué.

Nettoyage du contenant à poussière AVERTISSEMENT Afin de réduire le risque de décharge électrique, placez le commutateur en position arrêt (O) et débranchez la fiche de la prise électrique avant de procéder aux vérifications d’entretien ou de diagnostic d’une panne. 1 2 Poussez le couvercle supérieur pour ouvrir. 3 Tirez la poignée du contenant à poussière vers le haut et retirez le contenant de l'aspirateur. 4 Installez le couvercle sur le contenant à poussière.
Nettoyage du contenant à poussière 6 5 Rincez le contenant à poussière à l’eau du robinet. Il n'est pas nécessaire de laver le contenant à chaque nettoyage. Vous ne devez jamais laver le contenant à poussière. 7 Nettoyez le filtre régulièrement avec une brosse à soies souples. Vous ne devez jamais laver le filtre à l'eau. 8 Une fois le contenant à poussière propre, réinstallez le filtre et fermez le couvercle du contenant à poussière.
Nettoyage du rouleau de brosse Nettoyez le rouleau de brosse régulièrement. La majeure partie des poils et autres débris sont aspirés dans le contenant à poussière, mais une partie peut rester prise sur la brosse et affecter l'efficacité du nettoyage. Pour nettoyer la brosse, suivez ces étapes : 1. Mettre l'appareil hors tension. 2. Retournez le robot de façon à ce que le dessous pointe vers le haut et que le compartiment à batterie soit éloigné de vous et déposez-le sur une surface plane. 3.
Nettoyage des capteurs Après de nombreuses utilisations, la saleté et la poussière peuvent s'accumuler sur les capteurs, ce qui peut réduire l'efficacité de l'appareil. Afin d'assurer la meilleure efficacité, les capteurs doivent être nettoyés périodiquement en brossant toute saleté ou tout débris. Avant de nettoyer les capteurs, assurez-vous que le robot n'est pas branché au câble ou à la station de charge, et que l'interrupteur d'alimentation est en position d'arrêt.
Diagnostic de pannes AVERTISSEMENT Afin de réduire le risque de décharge électrique, placez le commutateur en position arrêt (O) et débranchez la fiche de la prise électrique avant de procéder aux vérifications d’entretien ou de diagnostic d’une panne.
