QUICK-START GUIDE FOR PCs

1. INSERT THE DISC

After inserting the disc, the Bitdefender installer will start automatically. Click INSTALL to begin.

If your internet speed is slow, or your system is not connected to the internet, click Install from CD/

DVD. In this case, the Bitdefender product available on the disc will be installed and a newer version

will be downloaded from the Bitdefender servers via product update.

Note. If the installer does not start automatically:

1. Access My Computer in Windows 7; from the Windows Start screen locate Computer (for

example, you can start typing “Computer” directly in the Start screen), and then right-click its icon;

in Windows 8 (in Windows 8.1 locate This PC); type System in the search box from the taskbar and

click its icon in Windows 10.

2. Right-click the icon of your disc drive and select Explore in the menu that appears to view the

directory list of the disc.

3. Double-click the Autorun.exe  le to begin.

2. VALIDATING THE INSTALLATION

Bitdefender will  rst check your system to validate the installation. If your system does not meet

the minimum requirements for installing Bitdefender, you will be informed of the areas that need

improvement before you can proceed. The Bitdefender Total Security installation package is

constantly updated.
