9.4 Restoring the Print Server’s Factory Defaults
Factory defaults can be restored for all of the Ethernet to Twinax/Coax Print
Server’s configuration options or selectively for individual 5250 printer session.
9.4.1 R ESTORING F ACTORY D EFAULTS FOR THE P RINT S ERVER U SING THE P RINT -C ONTROL
U TILITY
1. If you haven’t already done so, start the print-control software.
2. Select a print server from the displayed list.
3. Click on the Options menu and select Restore Factory Defaults.
4. Answer the next question with Yes.
9.4.2 R ESTORING F ACTORY D EFAULTS FOR THE P RINT S ERVER U SING THE M ODE B UTTON
1. Locate the Mode button in the bottom right-hand corner of the print server’s
top panel.
2. Hold down this button for about 20 seconds.
3. Factory defaults were restored successfully when the orange indicator next to
the Mode button goes dark.
9.5 Problems, Causes, and Solutions
9.5.1 SNA (APPC) P RINTING
Problem: The Ethernet to Twinax/Coax Print Server does not autoconfigure to
the AS/400.
Resolution:
1. Double check that you have entered the correct parameters into the Print
Control screen.
2. Check the following AS/400 parameters.
A. On the AS/400 command line, type DSPSYSVAL SYS VAL(QAUTOCFG),
then press <Enter>. The Auto Configure device parameter should be set
to 1=ON.
