ONFIGURATION
To enable a client workstation to print to a NetWare queue, a local port must be
captured. This can be accomplished using the NetWare User Tools from within MS
Windows or through a capture command from the DOS prompt.
To capture a local port using NetWare User Tools from within MS Windows:
1. Open NetWare User Tools from your desktop.
2. Click on the printer icon on the top tool bar. The client’s available ports
(LPT1...) will be displayed on the left side of the screen. The available queues
(resources) will be displayed on the right.
3. Click on the desired port, then on the queue you want to capture, and finally
on the Capture button.
4. Complete the capture process by configuring the LPT Settings and making
the capture Permanent, if so desired. Then Exit the program.
The same results can be obtained by using the Capture command from the DOS
prompt:
At the DOS prompt, type the following command:
capture local=n queue=name
