GETTING STARTED • Remove all packing material and any stickers from the product. • Remove and save these instructions. • Please go to www.prodprotect.com/applica to register your warranty. • Wash all removable parts as instructed in CARE AND CLEANING section of this manual. • Open one-piece cover and pour fresh cold water into the water reservoir up to 12-cup (MAX) mark (B).
11. Press ON/OFF button; blue light around the button turns on. Brewing begins OR for delayed brewing set the AUTO function before pressing the ON/OFF button. (See below for DELAYED BREWING.) (K). K 12. When coffee stops flowing into carafe, the brew cycle is complete. 13. Once coffee grounds have cooled, carefully open one-piece cover and, using basket handle, remove and discard used grounds. Close one-piece cover. 14. The coffeemaker will keep brewed coffee hot for 2 hours and then automatically turn off.
• • • • • • • • • • • • Stir coffee in carafe before serving to evenly distribute the flavor. Coffee that is poured during brewing cycle may vary in strength from the finished brew. Not sure how much coffee to use? Begin by using 1 level scoop of medium grind coffee for each cup of coffee to be brewed. Never reuse paper coffee filters; they absorb flavors from the brewed coffee and will give the newly brewed coffee a stale flavor. They may also tear and allow grinds to drip into the newly brewed coffee.
CARAFE CARE A damaged carafe may result in possible burns from a hot liquid. To avoid breaking: • Do not allow all liquid to evaporate from the carafe while on the "Keep Hot" carafe plate or heat the carafe when empty. • Discard the carafe if damaged in any manner. A chip or crack could result in breakage. • Do not use abrasive scouring pads or cleansers, they will scratch and weaken the glass. • Do not place the carafe on or near a hot gas or electric burner, in a heated oven or in a microwave oven.

OU, pour différer l’infusion, activer la fonction AUTO avant d’appuyer sur l’interrupteur. (Voir la section INFUSION DIFFÉRÉE ci-dessous.) (K) 12. Lorsque le café cesse de couler dans la carafe, le cycle d’infusion est terminé. 13. Une fois que le marc de café a refroidi, ouvrir délicatement le couvercle monopièce et, en saisissant la poignée du panier, retirer et jeter le marc usagé.
CONSEILS RELATIFS À L’INFUSION DU CAFÉ • Remuer le café dans la carafe avant de le servir pour mélanger les arômes de façon homogène. • La concentration du café versé avant la fin du cycle d’infusion peut varier de celle du café obtenu une fois l’infusion terminée. • Vous ne savez pas quelle quantité utiliser? Commencer par utiliser une mesure à café rase de café à mouture moyenne par tasse de café à infuser.
26 DÉPANNAGE PROBLÈME CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION La cafetière ne s’allume pas. La cafetière n’est pas branchée. Vérifier si la cafetière est branchée dans une prise de courant fonctionnelle et si l’interrupteur marche/arrêt est à Marche. La cafetière fuit. • Le réservoir à eau est peut-être rempli au-delà de sa capacité. • Le couvercle n’est peut-être pas bien placé sur la carafe. • La carafe n’est peut-être pas bien placée sur le réchaud.
