IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using your iron, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: • Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Use caution when you turn the iron upside down - there may be hot water in the reservoir. Avoid rapid movement of iron to minimize hot water spillage. • The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface. • When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.

HOW TO U S E This product is for household use only. G E T T I NG STARTE D • Remove the plastic band around the power plug and all labels, tags and stickers attached to the body, cord, or soleplate of the iron. • Remove and save literature. FILLING THE WATER TANK 1. With the iron tilted at 45° angle, open the water-fill cover. (A) A 2. Using a clean measuring cup, pour water into opening until water reaches the “MAX” level mark on the side of the water tank. Do not overfill.
5. Iron as long as needed. Note that if the iron is left inactive, the 3-Way Auto Shut off Safety feature will activate. Please see Additional Features section for more details. 6. When finished ironing, turn the dial to the MIN setting and unplug from the outlet. 7. Stand the iron on its heel rest and allow it to completely cool off before storing. SETTING GUIDE For best results it’s recommended to use the manufacturer’s garment tags for heat and steam instructions.
Spray Mist Press the Spray Mist button to generate a light spray of water. Spray Mist is used to dampen tough wrinkles while dry or steam ironing. This setting works at any SmartSteam™ dial setting. Do not spray silk. 3-way Auto Shut-Off The iron will automatically switch to Auto Shut-Off mode and stop heating after being left inactive for 30 seconds on the soleplate or side, and 8 minutes on the heel rest. When the iron is in Auto Shut-Off mode, the red light on the handle will blink.
IR ON I N G T I P S A N D TR IC KS • This iron is designed to use normal tap water. If your water is very hard, you can use a mixture of 50% tap water and 50% distilled water to avoid build-up. It is not recommended to use water with perfumes or scented additives. • Since it takes an iron longer to cool down than heat up, organizing your clothing from Low to High temperature can cut down your ironing time.
TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Cause Solution The iron is plugged in, but the soleplate is not heating. Power supply issue. Check that the plug is properly inserted into the outlet or try plugging the iron into a different outlet. Not enough steam or no steam is coming out of the iron. SmartSteam™ setting selected is too low. Lower heat levels are not intended to have steam. Turn the SmartSteam™ Dial to settings 4–6 to iron with steam. Not enough water in the water tank.

COMO USAR Este producto es para uso doméstico solamente. PRIMEROS PASOS • Retire todas las etiquetas y calcomanías adheridas al cuerpo, cable o suela de la plancha. • Retire y conserve la literatura. LLENADO DEL TANQUE DE AGUA 1. Con la plancha inclinada a un ángulo de 45 grados, abra la tapa del tanque de agua. (A) A 2. Utilizando una taza de medir limpia, vierta agua en el orificio hasta alcanzar la marca de llenado MAX situada a un lado del tanque de agua. No exceda el nivel de llenado.
Consejo: Para planchar en seco a temperatura baja, utilice los ajustes 1 a 3 en el dial de control SmartSteam™ o para utilizar una temperatura alta, simplemente vacíe el tanque de agua y siga las instrucciones correspondientes. Si vacía el tanque, una vez que la plancha se haya precalentado quizás tenga que presionar el botón de potente disparo de vapor varias veces para vaciar el tanque completamente. 5. Planche el tiempo que sea necesario.
CARACTERÍSTICAS ADICIONALES Tecnología SmartSteam™ Esta tecnología le brinda el control de ambos la temperatura de la suela y el nivel de vapor, en un dial. En las planchas tradicionales, los controles están separados haciendo más difícil saber cuales ajustes son los correctos a utilizar para cada tejido. ALMACENAMIENTO DE SU PLANCHA C 1. Verifique que la plancha esté ajustada a la posición MIN, desenchufada y que se haya enfriado completamente. 2. Vacíe el tanque de agua abriendo la tapa del orificio de llenado e invirtiendo la plancha sobre un fregadero. 3. Enrolle el cable alrededor del talón de la plancha de forma holgada y asegure el cable, sujetándolo con el clip de cable integrado en el talón (C) o el clip de cable en el enchufe (D). D 4.
RE SOLUC I Ó N DE P R O B LE MAS PROBLEMA CAUSA POSIBLE SOLUCIÓN La plancha está enchufada pero la suela no está calentando. Existe un problema con la fuente de energía. Verifique que el enchufe esté insertado correctamente en el tomacorriente o trate de enchufar la plancha a un tomacorriente diferente. No está saliendo suficiente cantidad de vapor o ningún vapor de la plancha. El ajuste de temperatura SmartSteam™ seleccionado es muy bajo.
