ESCRIPTION: Black Jac Plastic Roof Cement
i
s a pliable asphalt roof cement that
c
an be used on damp as well as dry surfaces. Plastic Roof Cement is ideal for many roof
repairs and for stopping roof leaks around vent pipes, spouts, valleys, skylights, gutters and
c
himneys. Use for the construction and repair of flashings, but not on rubber membranes or
EPDM roofing systems. It may also be used to seal cracks in exterior chimneys, walls, foun-
dation joints and for lining leaking gutters and troughs. Plastic Roof Cement is not paintable.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Remove dust, dirt and debris using a stiff brush or broom.
Remove crusted rust or scaling previous coating by scraping or wire brushing. On Asphalt

Cement. On Concrete Roofs: for best results prime with an asphalt primer before patching

ith Plastic Roof Cement. On Metal Roofs: always re-nail loose laps with longer nails to stop
vibration.
APPLICATION: Apply with trowel or putty knife. To patch small holes or breaks, fill with
Plastic Roof Cement and smooth down edges. For patching larger holes and substantial
breaks or joints,
apply Plastic Roof Cement appro
ximately 1/4" thick, embed fiberglass or
p
olyester membrane into the plastic Roof Cement, and cover with another 1/4" layer of
Plastic Cement. Feather edge plastic cement around patch. During cold weather, keep this

ansporting this product, ensure that lid is tight and pail secure and
upright. Do not allow pail to tumble as this may cause lid to loosen and leakage to occur. Do
not transport on passenger seats or inside the passenger compar
tment of an
y vehicle. Store
product in the cargo area of vehicle, and secure o
ver protectiv
e cloths to prevent damage
due to accidental spills. Do not store at temperatures above 100°F. This manufacturer also
disclaims liability for flat surface application where poor drainage or ponding water may pre-
vail. Do not reuse empty containers.
