If you are not using your BlackBerry for e-mail services you will need to add a data plan to your billing account. You
can add either an individual BlackBerry e-mail plan, or simply a network data plan. You will need to contact your
carrier’s technical support team to add this data service, and to confirm the Access Path Name (APN) gateway is
active.
MDS
If you are using your BlackBerry for corporate e-mail via a BlackBerry Exchange Server (BES), then you should
consult your IT department BES administrator about allowing you to use Mobile Data Service (MDS) as a means to
access the Internet. Your BES administrator will have to enable MDS.
Bluetooth Pairing
This step is required to register the Bluetooth GPS receiver with the BlackBerry so that TeleNav can access the
receiver to get location fixes.
• Turn on the GPS receiver.
• Press the Escape button repeatedly to reach the BlackBerry main menu.
• Go to Settings, then Options. Highlight Bluetooth and click the trackwheel.
• If Bluetooth is disabled, click the trackwheel and select Enable.
• Highlight Add Device and click the trackwheel once.
• Enter the GPS receiver passcode if required. The passcode for a TeleNav GPS receiver is “0000”.
• Press the Escape key until you return to the BlackBerry main menu.
