: The BlackBerry Assistant supports more languages when Full Assistance mode is turned off.
Turn off full assistance mode
When you turn off Full Assistance mode, you can still use the BlackBerry Assistant to dial phone numbers and search your
device. The BlackBerry Assistant supports more languages when Full Assistance mode is turned off.
1. On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.

Tap
Settings > BlackBerry Assistant.
3. Turn off the Full Assistance
switch.
Change your search settings
You can specify which categories to include in searches, and which search engines to use to extend your searches to the
Internet.
1. On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.

Tap
Settings > BlackBerry Assistant > Device Search Settings.
3. Do any of the following:
To specify which categories to include in searches, tap
Categories.
To specify which search engines to use when you extend your searches to the Internet, tap Extended.
Tip: To change the order of categories or search engines, touch and hold a category or search engine. Tap or .
Change your voice interaction settings
1. On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.

Tap
Settings > BlackBerry Assistant.
3. Do any of the following:
To turn on or turn off voice responses, in the Voice Response drop-down list, tap On
or Off.
To hear voice responses only when you're using a
Bluetooth enabled device, in the Voice Response drop-down
list, tap
With Bluetooth Device Only.
To open the
BlackBerry Assistant by pressing and holding the Mute key, turn on the Activate With Mute Key
switch.
To open the
BlackBerry Assistant using the Mute key while your device or screen is locked, turn on the Use
Assistant when locked switch.
To censor offensive words in your voice interactions, turn on the
Censor Offensive Words switch.
