Highlight a line of text Touch and hold the text. Move your finger up or down on
the screen.
Highlight text character by character Touch and hold the text. Move your finger left or right on
the screen to select each character.
Cut highlighted text Tap the highlighted text. Tap Cut .
Copy highlighted text Tap the highlighted text. Tap Copy .
Paste text Touch and hold where you want to paste the text.
Type faster with automated assistance settings
You can change your typing settings to help you type faster on your BlackBerry Keyboard. Keyboard feedback provides an
audible indication of your typing progress. A different tone is used for the Alt , Left shift , Right shift , Delete , and Symbol
keys to differentiate these keys from alphabetical keys. In addition, you can change your settings so that your device
automatically capitalizes new sentences or so that pressing The Space key twice inserts a period.
1. On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.

Tap Settings Settings > Language and Input > Prediction and Correction.
3. Tap the settings that you want to change.
Cut, copy, and paste text
1. To highlight text, touch and hold the text.
2. To expand the text selection, do one of the following:
To select more published text such as in a browser or PDF file, move the cursor indicator handles to highlight the
whole section of text.
To select more text in a text editor such as an email, place the cursor at the beginning of the text you want to
select. Tap The Shift icon and drag the circle to highlight the whole section of text.
3. When the text editing menu appears, do one of the following:
To copy the text, tap the highlighted text. Tap The Copy icon .
To cut the text, tap the highlighted text. Tap Cut .

To paste the text, touch and hold the location where you want to paste the text and then release your finger. Tap
Paste .
