• When you type on the touch screen keyboard, press and hold the Period key > tap .
2. Do any of the following:
• Tap the icons under the emojis to switch the emoji category.
• Swipe left on the emoji list to see more emojis.
3. Tap an emoji.
On the touch screen keyboard, tap to return to the keyboard view.
Type using voice dictation
You can use voice dictation to type hands-free instead of using your keyboard.
Do one of the following:
• When you type on the slider keyboard, press
.
• When you type on the touch screen keyboard, press and hold the Comma key.
To close voice dictation, tap
.
Selecting word suggestions that appear
while you type
Your device is designed to learn what you tend to say and where in a sentence you tend to say it. Your device uses this
information to try to predict what word you might type next. Suggested words appear on the letters of the touch screen
keyboard or on the row of screen keys above the slider keyboard. You can quickly select a suggested word by placing your
finger on either keyboard under the word and flicking it up toward the screen.
Select a suggested word
To use a word that appears above the slider keyboard or on the touch screen keyboard, place your finger on the keyboard
below the word, and
flick it up toward the screen.
