Add a new text shortcut
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two fingers, or twice using one finger.

Tap > Language & input > BlackBerry Keyboard Settings > Prediction and correction > Word substitution.
3. Tap a language for your shortcut or, if you want the shortcut to be available in every installed language, tap For all
languages.

Tap .
5. In the Shortcut field, type the shortcut phrase. For example, bb.
6. In the Target field, type the substitution text for the shortcut. For example, BlackBerry.
7.
Tap twice.
If you add bb as your shortcut, and BlackBerry as the target, when you type bb, BlackBerry is inserted into your text.
Change or delete a text shortcut
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two
fingers, or twice using one finger.
2.
Tap > Language & input > BlackBerry Keyboard Settings > Prediction and correction > Word substitution.
3. Tap the language where your text shortcut appears.
4. Tap an item in the Substitution List.
5. Do one of the following:
• Update the Shortcut text or Target output.
• To delete the shortcut, tap
.
Language
If you speak more than one language, you can use the language settings to change your display, typing, voice input, or
BlackBerry Keyboard language. You can also switch to another typing language while you type.
Switch your input language
If you turn on more than one input language on your device, you can switch between input languages while you type.
Note:
If the input language that you want to use isn’t listed, you might have to install a keyboard for that input language
from the Google Play
™
store.
