In your work space, you can access your work email, contacts, and calendar, create work documents, and browse to
corporate intranet sites. Your work space can include a separate version of BlackBerry World that contains the applications
you are allowed to download and use at work. If your work space is protected with a password, you must unlock your work
space to reveal the details about your work data.
You can access both personal data and work data from certain places, such as Search.
Switch between your personal and work spaces
When BlackBerry Balance technology is set up on your BlackBerry device, you can quickly switch between your personal
and work spaces.
Tip: To differentiate between your work space and personal space, you can set a different wallpaper for your personal
space.
Do one of the following:
To switch between spaces from the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen. In the Quick Settings,tap
Switch to Personal or Switch to Work.
To switch between spaces from within the Pictures app, Adobe Reader, Documents To Go, or File Manager, tap .
Tap Personal or Work.
Using Parental Controls
Parental Controls are designed to give you more control over how a BlackBerry device can be used and contacted. You can
turn off access to certain apps, features, and content. You can also restrict incoming phone calls and messages to people
in the Contacts app.
Parental Controls settings are protected with a password, making them difficult to change or turn off without your
knowledge. You can set your device so that the Parental Controls password is required to add an email or social networking
account, or to purchase an app from the BlackBerry World storefront.
Note: If BlackBerry Balance technology is turned on, the Parental Controls feature is not available.
Restrict or limit access to features and content
1. On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
2.
Tap Settings > Security and Privacy > Parental Controls.
3. Make sure that the Parental Controls switch is set to On.
4. Enter the Parental Controls password.
5. Tap to change the options.
