Testing your device hardware
You can check that your device hardware is working properly by using the BlackBerry Virtual Expert app. The BlackBerry
Virtual Expert app guides you through troubleshooting tests that are designed to help you identify a hardware-related
problem. Download the BlackBerry Virtual Expert app from BlackBerry World now.
Before you use the app, keep the accessories you use with your device on hand, such as headphones, so that you can do a
full assessment.
Depending on your device model, you can check the following components and functions on your device:
• Touch screen and LCD
• Volume keys, Mute key, and Power/Lock key
• Camera
• Speakers, microphone, and headphone jack
• LED and vibration notifications
• Bluetooth technology

1. In the BlackBerry Virtual Expert app, do one of the following:
• To test a type of functionality, tap Display Tests, Audio Tests, or Button Tests.
