Mini Converter UpDownCross HD
Mini Converter UpDownCross HD is a powerful standards converter that gives you the ability to
convert any SD or HD video format with up, down, or cross conversion via SDI and HDMI. This
converter supports all SD and HD formats up to 1080p60 plus NTSC and PAL with aspect ratio
options for up and down conversions. The HDMI input also accepts 1024 x 768, 800 x 600, and
640 x 480 computer output resolutions.
When conversion processing is set to OFF the HDMI and SDI outputs become loop outputs so
you can feed the input signal to other HDMI and SDI equipment.
Connectors
1 SDI IN
SDI input. The small LED next to the BNC connector illuminates when a locked SDI
signal is detected. When both SDI and HDMI inputs are connected, the SDI input
takes priority.
2 SDI LOOP
Direct loop output of your SDI input video.
3 HDMI IN
HDMI type A video input. A small LED next to the HDMI IN connector illuminates to
show when it detects a valid HDMI input.
4 REF IN
Reference video input. A small LED next to the REF IN connector indicates the
reference lock status:
Constant white - the REF IN matches the format of the output video format set on the
converter.
Flashing white - the REF IN is a valid video format but doesn’t match the output video
format set on the converter.
5 USB-C PORT
Connects to the Converters Setup software via your Mac OS X or Windows computer.
The Mini Converter’s internal software is also updated using the USB port.
6-7 SDI OUT
SDI video output BNC connectors.
8 HDMI OUT
HDMI type A video output.
9 POWER +6 to 36V
6 to 36 volt power supply input. The support screw can be secured to the unit’s power
connector to prevent accidental disconnection. A small LED next to the DC input jack
illuminates to show when power is connected.
