General instructions on CD operation
The CD changer has been equipped with a temperature control to
prevent exposure to excessive heat or cold. Should this temperature
control register a temperature which is too high during CD operation,
the CD player will first be switched to audio mute and for approximately
4 seconds, the corresponding message CD TEMP will appear in the
display. Following this, the unit will switch back to radio operation and
the CD changer will not operate until it has returned to within the
normal temperature range.
In case of an extremely cold temperature, the message CD TEMP
will appear in the display as an indication that it is too cold. The
operation of the CD changer, however, will not be interrupted and it will
continue to operate.
Although CDs have a special protective coating on both sides, you
should still handle them with care.
Touch the CD on its outer edges only and avoid making fingerprints or
scratches, leaving dust or moisture on the shiny side of the disc. Do not
write on the discs or put any kind of stickers on them. Clean them from
time to time, before you play them. Wipe the shiny side of the disc from
the centre in a straight line to the outside with a special cleaning cloth
available in retail stores.
Do not use solvents, abrasive cleansers , any cleaning agents or
antistatic sprays designed for other records or discs.
