Quick reference 1 On/Off Turn button. On Off To adjust the volume: Turn button. To alter a setting: Briefly press AUD repeatedly until the abbreviation of the desired mode and the adjusted value appear in the display. 2 LD / AUD LD - Loudness When listening at a low level, the Loudness function will create a more natural sound by boosting the bass frequencies. To switch the Loudness on/off: Keep the AUD button depressed until “LOUD ON” or “LOUD OFF” is displayed and you hear a beep.
Extra function: To switch the code-LED on and off. 6 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - preset buttons (Wien RD 127) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - preset buttons (San Remo RD 127) WIEN RD 127: You can store six stations on each FM memory bank (I, II and “T”). SAN REMO RD 127: You can store five stations on MW, LW and on each FM memory bank (I, II and “T”). 7 M•L (only SAN REMO RD 127) Toggle switch for medium- (MW) and long-wave (LW) stations.
: AF (Alternative Frequency during RDS operation) When “AF” lights up in the display, the radio will automatically search for a frequency offering better reception of the same RDS programme. To switch AF on/off: Press AF briefly. Extra function: REG ON / REG OFF - With REG ON the system will only switch to an alternative frequency if it belongs to a linked station offering the same regional programme (see “REG - regional programme).
If you would like to install your new car stereo yourself or add other audio components to existing ones, then please read carefully the enclosed instructions on installation and connection. Do not ground the loudspeaker outputs! Use only the accessory and replacement parts approved by Blaupunkt. This car radio is supplied with inactive code protection. In order to switch the security coding system on, proceed as described in the following.
Notice: Keep your car radio passport with the code number in a safe place in order to avoid “unauthorised access” to your car radio. When the security code system is activated, the unique code must be entered each time the power supply was interrupted. The radio will function again as soon as you have entered the correct code. If you have lost your radio passport and forgotten the code number, your radio can only be made operable again by one of our authorised service workshops.

Radio operation with RDS (Radio Data System) The Radio Data System offers you more convenience when listening to FM radio stations. More and more radio stations have begun to broadcast RDS information alongside their programmes. As soon as a programme has been identified, the station name including a regional identifier, if applicable, will appear in the display, for example, NDR1 NDS (regional programme in Lower Saxony, Germany). When RDS is activated, the preset buttons become programme buttons.

Beep tone If you leave the reception area of the traffic programme station currently tuned into, you will hear a beep tone after approximately 30 sec. This tone will also be released when pressing a preset button which has no traffic programme allocated to it. DEUTSCH ENGLISH FRANÇAIS If the priority for traffic announcement programmes is activated, “TA” will light up in the display. To switch the priority on or off: • Press the TA button.
CD operation Switching off the beep tone a) Tune into another station offering traffic information: • Press or • press a preset button which has a traffic programme station allocated to it. Alternatively: b) Switch off the priority for traffic announcements: • Press TA. “TA” will disappear from the display.
When the Mix function is activated, all CD titles will be played at random. “MIX” lights up in the display. If you do not like any of the played titles, press to skip. To switch the Mix function on/off: • Press MIX / lo. Changing the audio source with SRC (source) Use this button to switch between radio and CD operation. The CD mode is only available if a disc is inserted. To switch over: • Press / SRC briefly.
