HARDTAP POWER CORD WITH IN-LINE FUSE
INSTALLATION:
The MirrorTap Power Cord (MTPC) utilizes an in line fuse to help protect your radar detector and your vehicle's electrical sys t em .
You will need to identify the Ground wire a d the +12 volt switched wire in your mirror's wire harness. This can be done by using a volt meter.
WARNING: Con ult a profe lonal if you have no exp rience with 12-volt installation .

1 - Mount the radar detector in the desired loca · on
2 - Make the ground connection by attaching th ring terminal on the black wire to any ground screw. (ma ke sure your vehicle is negative ground).
3 - Select a · sw i tched " wire (a wire that is off when the ignition is switched off and has 12 volts when the ig nition is switched on) and attach the blue T-tap.
4 - Position the T- tap connector around the " switched " wire and squeeze wi th a pair of pliers. Plug the red wire from the HardTap Power Cord onto the
blue T-tap.
5 - Tum the ignition on and make sure the radar detector turns on , then tum the i gn ition off and make sure the radar detector tums off.
6 - Conceal the power cord for a nice clean installation. Carefully run the cable to the radar detector, avo' ding the brake and gas pedals. Make sure to
run the wire down the A-pillar behind the air bag . Secure the cable with zip ties to the existing wire harness.
NOTE : If you need to replace the fuse, be sure to replace it with one of the same amperage .
