2. Many Blue Ox

Baseplates are designed to

use existing holes and hardware to mount

the baseplate to the towed vehicle. Even

though bolts are there, do not assume they

are adequate for baseplate mounting. Always

use hardware supplied in the hardware kit or

existing hardware specied in the Baseplate

Installation Instructions.

Conrm the towability and pre-towing

procedures for your vehicle with the

owner’s manual or contact the vehicle’s

manufacturer for specic towing

procedures.

If the front of your vehicle looks different than

BX1845 2010-12 Nissan Versa Installation Instructions Attachment Tabs: Due to the design of the removable tabs, the RangeFinderII and Ambassador tow bars can not be used. Adapters, except the BX8833 and BX88151, can not be used with this baseplate. Installation Notes: The radiator cover, fascia, styrofoam bumper, washer reservoir, metal bumper and headlights are removed for installation. Trimming of the air dams and frame rail webbing is required. Drilling is required.

BX1845 2010-12 Nissan Versa Installation Instructions      2 3 2. Remove two pushpins from the top of the fascia. Do this on both sides of the vehicle. Set pushpins aside to be reinstalled later. 3. Remove three metric bolts from the lower corner of fascia using the 10mm socket. To remove the bolt just forward of the front tire, push fascia corner - where it meets bolt - out and then forward. Do this to both sides of the vehicle. Set bolts aside to be reinstalled later.     4 5 4.

BX1845 2010-12 Nissan Versa Installation Instructions   7 8 7. On the passenger’s side, disconnect electrical connection from the washer reservoir. Disconnect and plug the reservoir. Remove one metric bolt from the reservoir’s lower bracket using the 10mm socket. Set the bolt aside to be reinstalled later. 8. Remove one metric bolt from the washer reservoir’s upper bracket underneath the headlight (white arrow) using the 10mm socket. Disconnect the fill tube from the top of reservoir.

Using the reciprocating saw, just cut from the webbing of the frame rail. Flatten this section (above the cut, not below it) flush against the frame rail (see grey arrow) with hammer. Do this to both sides of the vehicle.  14      13.

BX1845 2010-12 Nissan Versa Installation Instructions 16 17 16. Reinstall the washer reservoir. Reconnect the electrical connection and the tubes.   17. Reinstall the headlights.  18A 18B 18. On the backside of the fascia, trim the outside middle rib. From the outside edge go in 3/4” , cut 1/2” up into the rib. Cut straight across tapered to the inside edge of the rib, 3”. Do this on both ends of the fascia.    20 19 19. Measure over 1 1/2” on the tab under the bumper. 20.

When demonstrating this to the customer, be sure to include all the contents and packages. Do NOT substitute other devices if the tow bar pins and clips are misplaced. DEALER or INSTALLER: Be certain the user receives the instruction sheets for their products.
