EASY POOL STEP (NE113) This carton (NE113) contains ALL the necessary pieces and instructions for installation of your new step. Please follow all instructions for proper installation of this step. EASY POOL STEP WITH OUTSIDE LADDER (NE126) This is carton 1 of 2. The step and the necessary instructions for installation are included within this carton. You should have a second carton labeled which contains the outside ladder for this system (NE126B).

STEP 1 • Lay one of the side panels (H) down on a flat surface. • Each step (C) has a groove where the riser will slide in which is located on the bottom of each step. • Line up a step (C) by positioning the connected dowels on the step with two of the round holes on the side panel (H). NOTE: Make sure that the treads on the step are facing towards the TOP of the side panel (the skinnier part of panel) and that the riser groove on the step is towards the back of the step.
STEP 4 • Leave the side panel facing upward and position one of the lock caps (I) centered over any hole on the side panel. • Using a small rubber mallet or a (block of wood and a small hammer), tap on the locking cap until it is secured over the pin sticking through the side of the step and is flush with the side panel. • Repeat this procedure for each of the additional seven openings on this side of the step.
STEP 6 • Stand step upright and locate two short handrail posts (B). • The short handrail posts should be installed into the holes located on the second step with closed end inside the hole and the open end facing up. • Screw handrail posts into place using (2) screws from hardware bag (J). NOTE Do NOT install long handrail posts at this time, they must be installed after completing Step 7. STEP 7 • Place assembled step INSIDE the pool where you would like to enter the pool.
STEP 8 • The two long handrail posts (A) should be installed into the holes located at the back of the step. • When installing these posts, make sure that the closed end goes into the opening and that the open end is facing up. • Once in place, secure using (2) screws from hardware bag (J). NOTE If you are having a problem getting the handrail posts in due to the sand, rock the step left and right to distribute sand.
STEP 10 • Lubricate inside of long and short handrail posts with liquid soap or lubricant. • Attach handrails (D) to handrail posts by pushing into posts. The more curved part of the handrail is meant to be installed in the long handrail post. • Using (4) screws from hardware bag (J), secure handrails in place. • Stick one danger sticker (K) on each handrail so that one faces inside the pool and the other faces the outside.
CROSSOVER INSTRUCTIONS (NB138B) CROSSOVER FOR USE WITH: EASY POOL STEP ENTRY SYSTEM (NE138) TOOLS REQUIRED • Hammer and a wood block or rubber mallet • Phillips head screwdriver • Drill with 1/8” drill bit • Pliers • Liquid soap or lubricant This crossover is intended for use with the Easy Pool Entry System. Please start by assembling BOTH steps using instructions provided in the Easy Pool Step (NE113) box. Refer to these directions once you have assembled both steps.

STEP 1 Lay one of the connecting rails (B) down on a clean, flat surface. Make sure the tread surface of the connecting step (A) is facing up towards the rails. Push the end of the connecting step into the openings of the connecting rail until fully seated. STEP 2 Lay the second connecting rail (B) down and push the opposite end of the connecting step (A) into the openings until fully seated.
STEP 3 • Center one of the lock caps (F) over any hole on the side of the connecting rail. • Using a small rubber mallet or (a block of wood and a small hammer), tap on the locking cap until it is secured over the pin sticking through the side of the connecting rail. • Repeat this procedure for each of the additional openings. You will only need to use a total of (4) lock caps. STEP 4 • One step (NE113) should already be inside the pool and weighted in place.
STEP 5 • The crossover must be screwed into the handrail posts using (16) #10 x 1-1/4” screws (G). Each of the locations where a screw must be drilled into handrail posts is pre-marked. There are eight per side.
STEP 6 NOTE If you are installing EASY POOL STEP ENTRY SYSTEM you should install handrails on INSIDE step only at this time. Please refer to gate (NE138C) instructions for further details. • Lubricate the end of the handrails (packed with the Easy Pool Step NE113) with liquid soap or lubricant and slip the ends of the handrails into the open ends of the posts on the inside and outside steps. • Push handrails down until they are fully seated on posts.
STEP 7 • Align one of the triple pickets (E) with the notches at the top of the handrail of the OUTSIDE step. The triple picket will line up with the openings in the handrail on the top step. • The double picket (D) will fit on the second step down (shown). • The single picket (C) will be attached to the handrail on the third step down. • Fasten the pickets in place one at a time at the top and bottom using the #10 x 3/4” screws (H).
STEP 8 Crossover installation is completed at this time. If you are installing the EASY POOL STEP ENTRY SYSTEM please refer to gate carton (NE138C) for gate assembly instructions and completing installation of your bridge system. SAFETY INFORMATION • When lifting heavy or awkward loads, it is suggested that two people lift to avoid injury. • DO NOT use the pool entry system for any purpose other than that for which it is intended. • Maximum weight on steps should NOT exceed 350 lbs.
GATE (NE138C) FOR USE WITH: EASY POOL STEP ENTRY SYSTEM (NE138) TOOLS REQUIRED • Phillips head screwdriver • Drill with 1/16” drill bit This gate is the final component of the Paradise Isle Bridge System. Prior to installing gate, please follow instructions in the step boxes (NE113) to assemble both steps and assemble the crossover (NE138B) using provided instructions.

STEP 1 • Lay gate (A) flat on a clean, level area and open plastic hinges as shown. • Locate hinge post (C) and lay next to gate with openings lined up to plastic hinges of gate. • Stick plastic hinges of gate through openings of hinge post. The wider part of the hinge post is the bottom and should be lined up with the bottom of the gate (flat part indicates bottom). • Wrap plastic hinges around hinge post and secure in place using (8) of the #7 x 1/2” screws from hardware (G).
STEP 2 • The hinge mounting posts (B) should be installed onto the short handrail posts on the second step of the outside staircase. • Attach one hinge mounting post to each of the short handrail posts with the long skinny side facing down towards the step. • Secure in place using (4) of the # 10 x 1-1/4” screws from hardware (G) through pre-marked openings.
STEP 3 • Slide hinge post with attached gate OVER hinge mounting post (B) on right side of step. Make sure that post is pushed on completely and that post touches bottom step of staircase. Note: It may be necessary to spread the back of the hinge post open to install. • Fasten hinge post to mounting post using (6) of the #10 x 1-1/4” screws found in hardware bag (G) through pre-marked openings on inside and outside of post.
STEP 4 • Slide latch mounting post (D) onto hinge mounting post (B) on left side of step. NOTE: It may be necessary to spread the back of the latch mounting post open to install. NOTE Picture here shows view from BEHIND step, the latch mounting post should face the same way as the hinge post. • The door stop (squared piece sticking out on gate) should sit perfectly in recessed area of latch mounting post (D).
STEP 5 • To complete installation, you will need the gate latch assembly (E). • There is a raised area of the latch mounting post where you will secure the latch itself using the (4) short screws supplied with the latch. • Secure bar (shown with latch in E) to either of the far openings on the plate. Make sure bar lines up with latch so it will close properly. • Using two remaining short screws, secure plate to the corner of the gate through two holes closest to the latch.

ÉTAPE 1 • • • • HAUT DU PANNEAU Déposer un des panneaux latéraux (H) sur une surface plane. Chaque marche (C) a une rainure située au bas où faire glisser la contremarche. Alignez une marche (C) en positionnant les chevilles de la marche avec les deux trous ronds du panneau latéral (H). REMARQUE : s’assurer que les bandes sur la marche sont tournées vers le HAUT du panneau latéral (la partie mince du panneau) et que la rainure de la contremarche est tournée vers l'arrière de la marche.
ÉTAPE 4 • • • • Le panneau latéral est tourné vers le haut et placer un des bouchons de plastique (I), le centrer sur n'importe un des trous du panneau latéral. À l'aide d'un maillet en caoutchouc ou d’un petit marteau avec un morceau de bois, tapez sur le bouchon d’ancrage jusqu'à ce qu'il s’accroche à la cheville du côté de la marche et affleure le panneau latéral. Répéter cette procédure pour chacun des sept autres trous supplémentaires situés sur ce côté de l’escalier.
ÉTAPE 6 • • • Mettre l’escalier debout et installer les deux poteaux courts de la rampe (B). Les poteaux courts doivent être installés dans les trous situés sur la deuxième marche, l’extrémité fermée à l'intérieur du trou et l'extrémité ouverte vers le haut. Visser la main courante à l'aide des vis (2) du sac de quincaillerie (J). AVIS NE PAS installer les poteaux longs de la rampe, ces derniers doivent être installés après l'étape 7.
ÉTAPE 8 • • • Les poteaux longs pour la rampe (A) doivent être installés dans les trous situés à l'arrière des marches. Lors de l'installation des poteaux longs, s’assurer que l'extrémité fermée soit dans le trou et que l'extrémité ouverte soit vers le haut. Une fois en place, fixer à l'aide des 2 vis du sac de quincaillerie (J). AVIS Si vous rencontrez un problème en fixant les poteaux de la rampe en raison du sable, secouer les marches de gauche à droite pour le distribuer uniformément.
ÉTAPE 10 • • • • Lubrifier l'intérieur de la rampe et l’intérieur des poteaux longs et courts avec du savon liquide ou un lubrifiant. Attacher les rampes (D) aux poteaux en appuyant sur les poteaux. La partie courbée de la rampe s’installe dans le poteau long. À l'aide des 4 vis à l’intérieur du sac de quincaillerie (J), sécuriser les rampes. Apposer l’étiquette danger (K) sur chaque rampe, une doit faire face à l'intérieur de la piscine et l'autre fait face à l'extérieur.

ÉTAPE 1 Placer le garde-corps (B) sur une surface propre et plane. S’assurer que les rainures sur le dessus de la marche (A) sont visibles et orientées vers le garde-corps. Insérer un côté de la marche dans les ouvertures situées au bas du garde-corps jusqu’à ce qu’il s’emboîte complètement. ÉTAPE 2 l’autre garde-corps (B) l’insérer en le poussant dans les ouvertures situées dans la marche (A) jusqu’à ce qu’il s’enclenche complètement.
ÉTAPE 3 • Couvrir une des ouvertures au bas du garde-corps avec un bouchon d’ancrage (F). • Taper sur le bouchon à l’aide d’un maillet de caoutchouc ou d’un marteau avec un morceau de bois jusqu’à ce qu’il s’insère dans la cheville au bas du garde-corps. • Répéter l’opération pour insérer les 3 autres bouchons d’ancrage. ÉTAPE 4 • Un des côtés de l’escalier (NE113) est à l’intérieur de la piscine et déjà lesté.
ÉTAPE 5 La plateforme doit être vissée aux poteaux de la rampe à l’aide de 16 vis No 10 x 1¼" (G). Les endroits où fixer les vis sur les poteaux sont déjà percés; 8 vis pour serrer chaque côté.
ÉTAPE 6 AVIS Si vous assemblez le Système d’Entrée EASY POOL STEP, vous devez installer les rampes de l’escalier INTÉRIEUR pour commencer. Pour plus de détails, vous référer aux instructions de la portebarrière (NE138C). • Lubrifier l’extrémité des rampes (boîte Easy Pool Step NE113) avec du savon liquide ou un lubrifiant ; glisser les embouts des rampes dans les extrémités des poteaux de l’escalier à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur de la piscine.
ÉTAPE 7 • Aligner un barreau triple (E) en plaçant les indentations au-dessus de la rampe de l’escalier EXTÉRIEUR. Le barreau triple s’aligne aux ouvertures de la rampe de la marche supérieure. • Le barreau double (D) s’emboîte dans la deuxième marche (voir illustration). • Le barreau simple (C) s’emboîte dans la troisième marche. • Fixer en place les barreaux, un à la fois, avec les vis No 10 x ¾" (H).
ÉTAPE 8 L’assemblage de la plateforme est complété. Si vous assemblez présentement le Système d’Entrée EASY POOL STEP, veuillez lire les instructions d’assemblage de la porte-barrière (NE138C) pour terminer l’installation de la plateforme. ÉTAPE 1 Poser la porte-barrière (A) sur une surface propre et ouvrir les charnières de plastique (voir illustration). • Poser le poteau (C) près de la porte-barrière, ses ouvertures alignées avec les charnières de la porte-barrière. • Insérer les charnières de la porte-barrière à travers les ouvertures du poteau. La section la plus large du poteau s’aligne au bas de la porte-barrière (la partie plane indique le bas de la porte).
ÉTAPE 2 • Les poteaux articulés (B) doivent s’emboîter dans l’extrémité du poteau de rampe court de la deuxième marche de l’escalier extérieur. • Emboîter un poteau articulé à chaque extrémité des poteaux de rampes courts; s’assurer que la partie mince et plus allongée du poteau soit en bas, face à la marche. • Fixer en place à l’aide de 4 vis No 10 x 1¼" du sac de quincaillerie (G) dans les ouvertures prémarquées.
ÉTAPE 3 • Faire glisser le poteau et la porte-barrière PAR-DESSUS l’extrémité du poteau articulé (B) du côté droit de la marche. S’assurer que le poteau s’emboîte complètement et qu’il touche la dernière marche de l’escalier Avis : Il peut être nécessaire d’ouvrir l'arrière de la charnière pour l’installation. • Fixer en place le poteau articulé à la charnière à l'aide de 6 vis No 10 x 1¼ " du sac de quincaillerie (G) dans les ouvertures prémarquées à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur du poteau.
ÉTAPE 4 Insérer le poteau avec loquet (D) à l’intérieur du poteau articulé (B) sur le côté gauche de la marche. AVIS : il peut être nécessaire d’ouvrir l’arrière du loquet pour l’installation. AVIS La photo montre l’escalier vu de derrière, le poteau à loquet doit être dans le même sens que le poteau. Le butoir de la porte (morceau carré dépassant du cadre de porte) doit s’emboîter parfaitement dans la partie creuse du poteau (D).
ÉTAPE 5 • Pour compléter l’installation, il faut assembler et fixer le loquet (E). • À l’aide des 4 vis, fixer la clenche sur la partie supérieure du poteau pour qu’elle s’enclenche de façon sécuritaire. • Fixer la plaque du loquet (illustrée avec la clenche E) à l’une des deux extrémités du cadre de la porte-barrière. Bien aligner les lignes pour que le loquet ferme correctement.
CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ • Pour éviter toute blessure, il est recommandé de demander de l’aide pour soulever une charge lourde ou encombrante. • NE PAS utiliser le système d’entrée pour piscine pour un autre usage que celui pour lequel il est destiné. • Le poids maximum sur les marches NE DOIT PAS excéder 159 kg. AVERTISSEMENT Il faut respecter la limite de poids, sinon cela pourrait provoquer des blessures et endommager l’équipement.
