Messaging Contacts
Tap the name of a contact to view the details. Tap . For more information about
messaging, refer to Messaging on page 32.
Messaging
Use Messaging application to send or receive SMS and MMS messages.
Tap
> , or add and tap a widget Messaging on your Home screen.
Composing Messages

Tap
at the bottom left of the screen.

Tap the To field and enter the recipient’s phone number or name.

Type the message.
To add a subject, tap > Add subject.
To insert smiley, tap > Insert smiley.
To discard the current message, tap > Discard. If you tap the Back button
) while composing a message, the message will be saved as a draft. If there is no
recipient or message body, it will not be saved, but be discarded.
To attach media file to the message, tap to attach pictures, videos, audio, or
slideshow. To remove or replace a picture or an audio attachment, tap the Replace
or Remove buttons next to the attachment.

Tap
to send a message.
A maximum number of characters you can send in each message is up to 160 characters.
The 160 characters can comprise of words, numbers, punctuation symbols, and spaces.
If a message excesses the 160-character limit, a new message will be created with 145
characters in length.
Deleting Messages
To delete messages by threads
Tap and hold the message(s) you want to delete. Tap and select the message threads to
delete and tap .
To delete all threads
Tap > Delete all threads.
