 Sport leather steering wheel, three spokes with chrome trim in Pearl Grey
and thumb rest, incl. multifunction buttons, gearshift lever with chrome trim and
handbrake lever handle in leather.
 Steering wheel heating for the sport leather steering wheel provides added
comfort at low temperatures. The steering wheel rim can be brought to a pleasant
temperature within seconds, at the touch of a button. This prevents the discomfort
of cold hands and enables drivers to steer without gloves even in icy conditions.
 M leather steering wheel offers
excellent grip thanks to its thicker rim,
with integrated multifunction buttons
to operate the radio, CD player and
telephone (if installed) while driving.

 High-Beam Assistant ensures
that drivers of oncoming cars and cars
ahead are not dazzled, by automatically
switching to low beam. This maximises
road illumination at all times, even on
roads with heavy traffic, without the driver
having to take action or being distracted.
 Rain sensor with automatic
headlight activation: once activated,
the rain sensor will automatically switch
on the windscreen wipers when it begins
to rain, adjusting the wiper frequency in
line with rainfall intensity. The automatic
driving lights control will switch on the
low beam automatically at dusk and in
tunnels.
 Cruise Control (with additional
braking function for the six-cylinder
models) stores any desired speed
upwards of approx. km/h, shows
it on the Info Display and maintains
it. After accelerating, the system
automatically returns to the previously
stored speed. Braking deactivates
this function.
 Active Cruise Control: when
driving in columns of traffic, your BMW
automatically adapts to the speed of
the preceding vehicle and uses its radar
sensor to maintain a pre-set distance.
The braking function ensures that the
desired speed is not surpassed even
when driving downhill (not available for
the four-cylinder models).
 On-board computer displays
information about average speed and
fuel consumption, current consumption
and range.
 Park Distance Control (PDC),

for front and rear or rear only, facilitates
the process of parking and manoeuvring
in confined spaces, giving you an acoustic
signal for the distance between your
car and an obstacle. In conjunction
with the navigation system, PDC will
also provide a visual indication on the
Control Display.
