Check the engine oil level
( 65).
Check the spark plug
Check for dirt in the clean-side
chamber of the intake air silen-
cer
Check the fuel system
Check the exhaust system
Check the security of the
spring strut and check for leaks
Check and vent the telescopic
forks
Check the drive chain, chain
guide, sprocket and pinion
Checking chain tension ( 73).
Check the tyres and wheels
Check the spokes ( 73).
Check the freedom of
movement of the throttle cable,
check for kinks and chafing and
check play
Always after off-roading
Clean the motorcycle, in partic-
ular:
Cleaning slider tubes ( 74).
Clean the spring strut ( 75).
Lubricate the chain ( 73).
Using plenty of clean water
(garden hose), rinse off dirt and
foreign matter from the brake
calipers and the brake pads,
front and rear.
