OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR MINI TUBE ROCKER

Product Information:
The Boekel Mini Tube Rocker is designed to provide a gentle rocking motion for uniform mixing of fluids in small collection
tubes up to 120 mm in length.
Installation:
The Mini Tube Rocker must be placed on an appropriate flat surface such as a bench top. Be sure to provide adequate
clearance around the unit to allow the tray to move freely through its motion. The Mini Tube Rocker can be placed in a cold
room or in an incubator up to a maximum temperature of 40°C. Connect the Mini Tube Rocker to the AC/DC adapter and
the adapter to the main power supply and the power cord to power supply outlet. When moving the unit always carry the
unit by the base, carrying the unit by the tray could result in damage to the unit.
Product Operation:
This product is designed so that the tubes can be placed directly on the silicon rubber tube mat provided with the unit
without additional strapping. The On/Off switch is located on the front of the unit. The Mini Tube Rocker is equipped with a
safety-stop feature. In the event that the platform becomes obstructed, the unit will automatically stop rocking and reverse
the platform motion stopping at a resting position. To reset the Mini Tube Rocker from a safety-stop condition, place the
On/Off switch in the Off position, remove the obstruction, and then place the On/Off switch on the On position to resume
rocking action.
CAUTION: Always load the tray so that load is balanced and uniform before turning on the unit. A maximum
load of 1-3/4 lbs (0.8kg) can be placed on the tray. Overloading will result in possible damage to the unit.
Maintenance:
CAUTION: Always unplug the unit from the power source before any cleaning. Do not immerse the unit in
water. Do not resume using the Mini Tube Rocker unit until it has had time to dry.
The Mini Tube Rocker does not require maintenance. Cleaning of the unit should only be done using a damp cloth and
mild detergent. The silicon rubber mat can be removed and cleaned with soap and water or autoclaved. Spilled liquids
should be promptly cleaned to prevent damage to the unit and its finish. Always follow safe laboratory practices.

The Mini Tube Rocker has been designed to provide trouble free service. Should service be required contact Boekel
Scientific at (215) 396-8200. Service should be preformed only by a qualified service Technician. Your Mini Tube Rocker
is warranted for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
