Once the save operation is finished, you will see the file name added to the files in the
listing area.
Note – the ProtoTRAK PMX will not allow you to save to the C drive since it is reserved
for the XP operating system and ProtoTRAK software. The LPM does come with a USB
storage device that is found on the computer module in the electrical cabinet. It will be
called drive D. You can also add additional USB storage devices to the USB ports found
on the right side of the control pendant. It is good practice to save all your programs
within folders because this will allow you to easily backup all of your programs when
using our BACKUP feature found in section 14.8.
14.5 Copying Programs
To copy a program file from one storage location to another, press the COPY softkey
from the Program In/Out Mode screen. Only one file may be copied at a time using this
operation. To copy multiple files or folders, see Section 14.8.
The Copy Screen
The copy operation is in two parts. First, use the navigation procedure described in
Section 14.2 above and highlight the program you wish to copy. Press the COPY FILE
softkey to copy the file. Then go to the new file or drive, open it using the OPEN
FOLDER softkey and press PASTE FILE. Once the file has been copied, it can be pasted
to as many other locations as you want.
