C) Ignition Switch
The lights are automatically ON when-
ever the engine is running.
Manual Starting

Key operated, 3 position switch. To start
the engine, first turn the
key clockwise
to ON position. To stop the engine, turn
the
key counter-clockwise to OFF posi-
tion.
The 3rd position
is not in use.
Electric Starting

Key, operated, 3 position switch. To start
engine, turn
key fully clockwise to START
position and hold. Return key to ON posi-
tion immediately when engine has start-
ed. To stop engine, turn key counter-
clockwise to
OFF position.
,., CAUTION: Holding key in START
T position when engine has started
could damage starter mechanism.
0) Headlamp Dimmer Switch
The dimmer switch allows correct selec-
tion of headlamp beam.
To obtain high
or low beam simply flick switch.
E) Emergency Cut-Out Switch
To stop the engine in an emergency, push
the button to the lower
off position and
simultaneously apply the
brakes. To start
engine, button must
be at the upper on
position.

The driver of this vehicle should familiarize
himself
with the function of this device
by using it several times on first outing.
Thereby
being mentally prepared for emer-
gency situations requiring its use .

For safety reasons, the
emergency cut-out switch
is ea-
sily accessible; be careful not
to oper-
ate it inadvertently.

WARNING: If the switch has been
used
in an emergency situation
the source of malfunction
should be de-
termined and corrected before restarting
engine.
