The firmware of the BomeBox is based on the open source

project OpenWRT, which is based on the Linux kernel. Most of

that software is licensed under the GNU Public License (GPL)

version 2. Consequently, we publish all source code modifica-

tions to OpenWRT and to the Linux kernel in an online reposi-

tory hosted on github.com. You can use that repository to cre-

ate your own firmware for the BomeBox. Note that this reposi-

tory does not include BomeBox specific tools and scripts. In-

stalling your own firmware requires SSH access.
