Fan motor replacement instructions

Before servicing or cleaning the unit, switch power off at the service panel and lock the service disconnecting

means to prevent power from being switched on accidentally. When the service disconnecting means cannot

be locked, securely fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service panel.

Remove the fan &

venturi assembly

from the cooler.

Unplug the fan motor

from the junction box

receptacle.

STEP 1.

Mark a line across the

venturi and spigot to assist

with alignment when

refitting the assembly.

STEP 2.

Invert the fan assembly to access the nuts and bolts retaining

the fan blade to the motor.

Remove the LEFT HAND thread bolt and wave washer and

retain for later use.

Remove the nuts and bolts (x2) and retain for later use.

When all nuts and bolts have been separated you may need to firmly but gently tap the fan blade toward the fan motor to loosen the blade for removal from the fan motor shaft. Nuts (x2) Collet Fan blade Collet washer Bolts (x2) Fan motor STEP 4. Loosen the nut and bolt (4 places) just enough to fit anti slip pad between the support bracket and the fan motor body.

Fan motor replacement instructions STEP 5. Lift the faulty fan motor from the bracket assembly. STEP 6. Fit the replacement fan motor to the bracket assembly.

Fan motor replacement instructions STEP 7. Check that the distance between bottom of fan support arm and bottom of fan motor is approximately 1 ¾” STEP 9. STEP 8. Tighten the nut and bolt (4 places) ensuring that the fan motor support faces come together. Refit the fan blade to the replacement fan motor shaft. Refit the fan & venturi assembly to the cooler. Align the mark made earlier across the venturi and spigot. 6282255A STEP 10. Plug the fan motor into the correct junction box receptacle.
