Language & Input
Your phone‟s language settings let you select a language for the phone‟s screens and menus,
as well as manage a personal dictionary. The input settings let you select a preferred input
method, control keyboard settings, and more.

The language menu lets you select an onscreen language.
► Touch > > Settings > Language & input > Language to choose a
language from the list given.
Personal Dictionary
Touch > > Settings > Language & input > Personal dictionary to add new words
to the device‟s dictionary or remove words from the dictionary. The words you add are used for
spelling check and word suggestion.
Keyboard & Input Methods
Configure text input settings.
● Touch Default to set the default input method.
● Tick the check box before each input method to enable it for use or disable it. The pre-
installed input methods include Swype, TouchPal, Android keyboard, and Google voice
typing (integrated into the Android keyboard). See Touchscreen Keyboards. You can
also download and install other input methods.
● Touch behind each input method to configure its settings.
Speech
Set up voice search and text-to-speech output options.
Voice Search
● Language: Select the language you use when entering text by speaking or searching by
speaking.
