Make sure that the cooktop extractor is switched off
(see the Operation section).
8.3.1 Cleaning the knob ring
The knob ring can only be cleaned by hand.
Remove the knob ring from the knob housing.
Use a cleaner and degreaser in one.
Rinse the knob ring in hot water.
Clean the knob ring with a soft brush.
Rinse the knob ring well after cleaning.
Dry the knob ring carefully.
Place the dry knob ring back on the knob housing.
Make sure it is positioned correctly (0 position).
If necessary, twist the knob ring to the 12 o’clock
position (= 0 position).
8.3.2 Cleaning the touch surface and the
knob housing
Pull off the knob ring.
Clean the touch surface and the knob housing with a
soft, damp cloth.
Dry the touch surface and the knob housing carefully.
Place the knob ring back on the knob housing.
INFO If the knob ring has not been fitted correctly, a
segment rotating clockwise is displayed in the
central control knob display
8.2.5 Fitting the maintenance tray

Push the maintenance tray into the cooktop extractor.
Twist the two locking levers [2] downwards to lock the
maintenance tray [1] in place.
8.2.6 Cleaning of the components
The cover flap, grease filter, filter tray and maintenance
tray can be cleaned manually or in a dishwasher.
Manual cleaning
Use a cleaner and degreaser in one.
Rinse the components in hot water.
Clean the components with a soft brush.
Rinse the components well after cleaning.
Cleaning in the dishwasher
If cleaning in the dishwasher, the temperature should
not exceed 65 °C.
The grease filter absorbs the greasy particles from
cooking vapours.
If you can no longer get the grease filter properly
clean, it needs to be replaced.
8.2.7 Finish cleaning the cooktop extractor
Twist the knob ring to the 12 o’clock position.
This exits cleaning mode and the cover flap closes.
