Clean the moulded plastic housing of the chain saw
using a soft brush and clean cloth. Do not use water,
solvents or polishes. Remove all debris, especially
from the motor cooling vents 27.
Remove and brush clean the cover plate 12, chain
and chain bar after 1 to 3 hours of use.
Clean the area under the cover plate 12, the drive
sprocket 21 and chain bar assembly using a soft
brush. Clean oil outlet 19 with a clean cloth.
If the chain saw is to be stored for a longer period of
time, clean chain and chain bar.
Store in a secure, dry place out of the reach of chil-
dren. Do not place other objects on the chain saw.
To prevent leakage ensure machine is left in a hori-
zontal position (oil filler cap 4 uppermost).
When storing machine in original packaging the oil
tank must be completely emptied.
The following table gives checks and actions that you can perform if your machine does not operate correctly.
If these do not identify/remedy the problem, contact your service agent.
Warning: Switch off and remove plug from mains before investigating fault.
