Lower guard should be retracted manually only for special cuts such as “Plunge Cuts” and “Compound Cuts”. Raise lower guard by lower guard lift lever and as soon as blade enters the material, lower guard must be released. For all other sawing, the lower guard should operate automatically. Do not use the saw with an excessive depth of cut setting.

Ripping is cutting lengthwise with the grain of the wood. Rip cuts are easy to do with a rip fence (Fig. 13). To attach fence, insert fence through slots in foot to desired width as shown and secure with the knob. RIP BOARD GUIDE When rip cutting large sheets, the rip fence may not allow the desired width of cut.

Pour fixer le guide, insérez le guide à travers les fentes pratiquées dans la semelle jusqu'à la largeur désirée, comme illustré, et fixez à l'aide de bouton.

El corte al hilo consiste en cortar a lo largo siguiendo la veta de la madera. Los cortes al hilo son fáciles de realizar con un tope-guía para cortar al hilo (Fig. 13). Para colocar el tope-guía, introdúzcalo a través de las ranuras de la base hasta la anchura deseada tal como se muestra en la ilustración y fíjelo con la pomo.
