8.5.3 BIOS Settings
IRQ0 to IRQ6, IRQ8 to IRQ13 and IRQ15 are already assigned and
are not available for PCI and ISA extension cards anymore!
PCI slot
In
the BIOS submenu "PnP/PCI Configurations", each PCI slot can be assigned
to an IRQ address. By specifying the IRQ address the priority is specified at the
same time.
If only PnP

cards are used, the "AUTO" setting is to be kept.
8.6 Exchanging the Fuses
Several fuses are integrated in the VPB 40.1 devices. The two following figures
show their position. If a fuse has to be replaced, the new fuse must have the
values specified in fig. 8-13 "Fuses" on page 58. Furthermore, it must be UL-
certified.
Lethal electric shock by live parts with more
than
50 V! Risk to damage the device due to
short-circuits!
DANGER
Before
you open the control cabinet PC VPB 40.1 to replace a fuse, dis‐
connect it from the power supply (230 V or 24 V)!
Also disconnect the external batteries, before you open the VPB 40.1 .
Risk to damage the operator terminal by elec‐
trostatic discharges!
WARNING
Comply with all ESD-protection measures during replacing a fuse! Avoid elec‐
trostatic discharges!
