12.4 Installing a four-wire connection
1. IMPORTANT: Use the four-wire cable from home power
supply in the U.S. where local codes do not allow
grounding through neutral, New Branch circuit installa-
tions (1996 NEC), mobile homes and recreational vehi-
cles, new construction and in Canada.

2. Connect the red oven wire to the red electrical supply
wire (hot wire).
3. Connect the black oven wire to the black electrical sup-
ply wire (hot wire).
4. Connect the white neutral oven wire to the white neutral
(not bare or green ground) electrical supply wire.
5. Connect the green ground oven wire to the bare or
green ground electrical supply wire.
12.5 Installing a three-wire connection
1. IMPORTANT: Use the three-wire cable from home
power supply only where local codes permit a three-
wire connection.

2. Connect the red wire from the oven to the red wire in
the junction box.
3. Connect the black wire from the oven to the black wire
in the junction box.
4. Connect both green ground wire and white wire from
the oven to the white, green or bare neutral wire in the
junction box.

Testing the operation
Check if your unit is working properly after you have com-
pleted the installation steps.
1. Turn on power at the breaker.
2. To test the oven select the Bake mode. See the User
Manual for detailed operating instructions.
3. Verify that the oven light comes on and the oven begins
to preheat.
4. To test the door lock set the Self Clean mode. Confirm
that the door locks when the lock icon appears in the
display.
