Troubleshooting
You can eliminate minor issues on your appliance
yourself. Please read the information on eliminating issues
before contacting Customer Service. This may avoid
unnecessary repair costs.
WARNING

▶ Only authorized service providers should repair the
appliance.
▶ If the appliance has an issue, call Customer Service.

Issue Cause and troubleshooting
Burner(s) do not light or igniters do
not spark.
The gas shut-off valve is not in the “ON” position or the gas supply to the house is
shut off.
▶ Ensure that the gas shut-off valve is in the “ON” position and the gas supply to
the house is not shut off.
The burner caps, burner bases or burner ports are clogged.
1. Ensure that the burner caps and burner bases and the burner ports are not
clogged.
2. Clear ports with a wire or straightened paper clip if clogged.
The igniters are dirty or wet.
▶ Make sure the igniters are clean and dry.
The power supply is not properly grounded or has the wrong polarity.
▶ Check the power supply. It should be properly grounded with the correct polarity.
The unit's power cord is not fully plugged into the power outlet or the circuit breaker
has tripped.
▶ Ensure that the unit's power cord is fully plugged into the power outlet and the
circuit breaker has not tripped.
The burner flame goes out
unexpectedly.
There is a draft in the room.
▶ Ensure that there is no draft in the room.
Cooktop burner(s) does not start
correctly or flame extinguishes at
burner as soon as knob is
released.
The pushing time was too short or the pushing was too soft.
1. Use the recommended lighting position .
2. Push the knob completely.
3. Keep it fully pushed during the whole lighting procedure.
4. Release the knob after min.3-5seconds.
The burner cap not well positioned.

Dirt or moisture on burner, spark plug or thermocouple.
▶ Clean and dry these parts.
Not enough gas in pipe.
▶ Check main gas valves and pressure regulator and make sure that pipes are
purged from air.
The small burner or the dual-flame
burner does not light properly or is
not stable or extinguishes.
The small burner caps are swapped.
▶ Check the correct placement of the burner caps.

▶ The burner cap with the smallest diameter must always be placed in the middle
of the dual-flame burner.
▶ If one of your burner caps is marked with "DUAL", it has to be placed in the
middle of the dual-flame burner.
Sparks appear on the wrong
burner.
No fault: On starting one burner on all burners sparks will be generated.
