6.4 Installing a four-wire connection
Recommended method.
1. Disconnect the electrical power at the breaker box.
2. Remove the terminal block cover to expose the terminal
block.
3. Remove the top nut (has an attached locking washer)
from each post.
Note:DO NOT remove the second nut/washer on each
post; these must stay in place to anchor the internal
wiring attached to the terminal block.
4. Remove the green grounding screw from the lower
end of the grounding strap.
5. Remove the grounding strap from the center post of the
terminal block.
6. Rotate the grounding strip so that the wide end is up
and align the hole with the grounding hole below the ter-
minal block.
7. Use the green grounding screw to attach the green
wire on top of the grounding strap.
8. Tighten the grounding screw firmly, but do not over-
tighten.
9. Attach the red wire to the left terminal using one of the
nut/washers removed previously.

block cover.
13. Properly secure strain relief.

Note:DO NOT plug in the range at this time.
6.5 Installing a three-wire connection
Alternate method
Note:The four-wire connection (above) is preferred, but
where local codes and ordinances permit grounding
through the neutral and where conversion to four-wire is
impractical, the unit may be connected to the power sup-
ply via a three-wire connection.
1. Disconnect electrical power at breaker box.
2. Remove the terminal block cover to expose the terminal
block.
