General Installation Considerations
To facilitate system installation, it is highly recommended to install system components using
the following guidelines:
1. The main system components are designed to be rack-mounted into standard 19 in. EIA
racks. Remove the 4 rubber bumper foot pads found on the bottoms of the bays before
installing them. Four (4) holes are provided for mounting the bays in the rack. Rack-
mounting screws and associated hardware are NOT included.
2. With redundant system configurations, install the LTC 8943/95 System Controller PC,
monitor, and keyboard so that they are easily accessible for the system installer/
programmer.
NOTE: The PC must be installed within 3 m (10 ft) of the main CPU bay and within 3 m
(10 ft) of the LAN switches so the supplied cables can be used.
