The SE88A is an asset transmitter designed to work
with the Security Escort system. When initiated, a
signal identifying the asset and location is sent to the
security office at regular intervals. SE88A can be
tested within sight of a receiver or siren/strobe.
Functions
Supervision
The transmitter can send a tracking signal to the
central console every 90 seconds. The tracking signal
updates the asset’s location. The central console can
also use the tracking signal to alert staff if items move
away from a defined area.
Test Mode
The SE88A-90S-304 automatically tests itself every 90
seconds. A user (subscriber) can also press the small
button to perform a manual test anywhere in the
protected area. When the user sees an indoor receiver
or an outdoor strobe, the user can press the manual
test button to perform a test. A small green light
flashes on an indoor receiver or the strobe flashes
during a successful test. The visual indicators (flashing
green light or strobe light) are absent when the test
fails. The central console software records the
successful tests in the subscriber (user) database. The
information can be printed on an optional printer.
Low Battery Indication
When the transmitter’s battery needs replacing, the
test signal includes a low battery message to the
central console. The central console software records
the low battery messages in the subscriber (user)
database. The information can be printed on an
optional printer.
