Dishware
Only wash dishware that is suit-
able for dishwashers.
Note:Decorated glassware and
parts made of aluminum or silver
may fade or discolor with dish-
washing. Delicate types of glass
may turn cloudy after a few wash
cycles.
12.1 Damage to glass and
dishware
Avoid damage to glass and dish-
ware.
Cause Recommenda-

The following
dishware is not
suitable for
dishwashers:
¡ Items of sil-
verware and
dishware
made from
wood
¡ Decorated
glassware,
antique and
hand-crafted
dishware
¡ Plastic dish-
ware not re-
sistant to
heat
¡ Dishware
made from
copper or tin
¡ Dishware
soiled with
ash, wax, lu-
bricating
grease or
paint
¡ Very small
items of
dishware
Only put dish-
ware in the
dishwasher if it
is marked as
suitable for
dishwashers by
the manufac-
turer.
Cause Recommenda-
tion
Glass and dish-
ware is not suit-
able for dish-
washers.
Only put
glasses and
china in the
dishwasher if it
is marked as
suitable for
dishwashers by
the manufac-
turer.
The chemical
composition of
the detergent
causes dam-
age.
Use a deter-
gent marked as
kind to dish-
ware by the
manufacturer.
Highly caustic
alkaline or
highly acidic
cleaning
agents, in par-
ticular commer-
cial or industrial
cleaning
agents, are not
suitable for
dishwashers in
conjunction
with aluminum.
If you are using
highly caustic
alkaline or
highly acidic
cleaning
agents, in par-
ticular commer-
cial or industrial
cleaning
agents, do not
put aluminum
parts inside the
dishwasher.
The water tem-
perature of the
program is too
high.
Select a pro-
gram with lower
temperatures.
After the cycle
has ended,
take glassware
and silverware
out of the appli-
ance without
delay.
