To do this, follow the instructions in the project planning software
manual as stated under point
"How to design the contrast settings
for the operating device".
Enter the following values for the lower and upper limits for the presentation
type in the project planning software:
System variable Lower limit Upper limit Basic setting
LcdContrast +1 +31 +15

If you to not project the "LcdContrast" system variable, the initial
setting will be applied during the initialization of the device.
If the system variable has been installed, you can set the contrast as follows:
as
a prerequisite, you must already be in the screen in which you installed the
system variable.
1. Press the "enable data" key if the data enabling function is not automati‐
cally activated.
2. Enter a new value for the contrast. To do this, use either keys 0 to 9 or the
plus and minus keys.
3. Press the "Apply data " key.
4. Press the "enable data" key.
The contrast changes directly after pressing the "Apply data" key.
You may need to repeat steps 2 and 3 until the contrast meets with your re‐
quirements.
6.3 Character Attributes
You can display the following character attributes with the operating device:
● Flashing
● Underline
● Foreground and background color
6.4 Character Sets
You have the option of using Windows fonts. Both Windows and Unicode char‐
acter sets are available.
6.5 Keypad
6.5.1 Overview
The key elements are located beneath an embossed polyester membrane
which is resistant to environmental influences. The assignement of keypad
functions can be set in the project planning software.
6.5.2 Editing Keys
In order to activate the editing mode you must first press the special key "Enable
data".
