7.3.3 X1: 24 VDC Power Supply
All
internally required voltages are generated with electrical isolation via a DC/
DC converter. The connection is designed as male connector strip S, 3.50 mm
pin spacing, so that cables up to a maximum line cross section of 1.5 mm
2
can
be connected.

Prescribed external fusing 2 A time-lag safety fuse
Reverse voltage protection occurs via isolating diode; the line-side fuse is ac‐
tivated when polarity reversal occurs.
Fig.7-7: Technical data of the 24 VDC connection
The external voltage supply must have a rated voltage of 24 V and
must not exceed an output voltage of 30 V. The 24 V line to the
connection
module must be protected by a 2 A time-lag safety fuse.
DANGER
Danger without protective separation!
The 24 VDC input voltage must comply with the requirements of "Protective
separation"!
⇒ Plug and unplug the connector only in zero voltage state!
Fig.7-8: Safety transformer according to EN 60742
Interfering AC voltage components such as those resulting from an uncontrolled
3-phase current bridge connection without smoothing with a ripple factor (see
DIN 40110/10.75, section 1.2) of 5 % are permissible.
It follows from the above that as an upper voltage limit, the greatest absolute
value is 30.2 V, and as a lower voltage limit, the lowest absolute value is 18.5 V.
