9 Operating Conditions and Application Notes
9.1 Ambient Conditions
9.1.1 Setup elevation and ambient temperature
The stated motor performance data, according to EN 60034-1 are valid for:
Ambient temperature 0°C to 40°C
Set-up elevation 0 to 1000 m above sea level

When exceeding the given limits, the performance data of the motors must be
reduced.

9.1.2 Humidity / Temperature
Ambient climatic conditions are defined into different classes according to DIN
EN 60721-3-3, Table 1. They are based on observations made over long peri-
ods of time throughout the world and take into account all influencing quantities
that could have an effect, such as the air temperature and humidity.
Based on this table, Rexroth recommends class 3K4 for continuous use of the
motors.
This class is excerpted in the following table.
