The HP ProLiant DL380 Generation 6 (G6) continues to
deliver on its history of engineering excellence. Increased
flexibility, enterprise-class uptime, advanced management
features, proven two-socket Intel Xeon performance, and
2U density make it well-suited for demanding video
applications.
The MHW-S380R6-IDN Management Server is designed for
standard performance video applications that require high
availability and redundancy. With its hot plug fans and
power supplies, it delivers high system availability where
the number of unplanned downtimes due to hardware
failures is minimized.
With one state-of-the-art quad-core Intel Xeon Processor
5504 (2.0 GHz, 4 MB L3 cache, 80 W, 1333 FSB), and
4 GB (2 x 2 GB) PC3‑10600R (DDR3‑1333) Registered
DIMMs, it provides the performance and scalability for the
requirements of a standard NVR environment. In addition,
HP Services protects the server with a 3‑year standard
warranty (Next Business Day).
The server comes in a 2U, 19” rack mount version with a
quick-deploy rail system, including sliding universal rails.
The rack mount version allows access to all system
components for easy in-rack serviceability.
The system provides one internal 146 GB (10 K, SAS
2.5 in) hot-pluggable hard drive for the operating system,
as well as four additional internal 146 GB (10 K SAS
2.5 in) hard drives to store the video data. In addition, the
video storage is RAID‑0. Please note that RAID‑0 is not
hot-swappable. The MHW‑S380R6‑IDN is not equipped
with a SCSI Host Bus Adapter; therefore, this server
system cannot be attached to an external SCSI RAID.

The MHW‑S380R6‑IDN Management Server is ideal for the
standard performance and memory requirements of
applications that do not require large external storage
capacities. Please refer to the respective application data
sheets to get detailed information.
Note The MHW‑S380R6‑IDN base unit does not
come with a predefined language but offers a
choice of language options. One of the
localization kits listed under Ordering
Information must be selected when ordering.
The MHW‑S380R6‑IDNUS base unit comes
with a US localization kit.
