The HP ProLiant DL380 Generation 6 (G6) continues to
deliver on its history of engineering excellence. Increased
flexibility, enterprise-class uptime, advanced management
features, proven two-socket Intel Xeon performance, and
2U density make it well-suited for demanding video
applications.
The MHW-S380R6-EL Management Server is designed for
advanced performance video applications that require
high availability and redundancy. With its hot plug fans
and power supplies, it delivers high system availability
where the number of unplanned downtimes due to
hardware failures is minimized.
With one state-of-the-art quad-core Intel Xeon Processor
5504 (2.0 GHz, 4 MB L3 cache, 80 W, 1333 FSB), and
4 GB (2 x 2 GB) PC3‑10600R (DDR3‑1333) Registered
DIMMs, it provides the performance, scalability, and
support for memory-demanding applications in medium-
sized environments. In addition, HP Services protects the
server with a 3‑year standard warranty (Next Business
Day).
The server comes in a 2U, 19” rack mount version with a
quick-deploy rail system, including sliding universal rails.
The rack mount version allows access to all system
components for easy in-rack serviceability.
To provide high capacity data storage, connect external
SCSI storage arrays (like the Bosch DVA range of SCSI
storage arrays) to the server via two PCI-e single-channel
SCSI Host Bus Adapters.

sized recording applications without redundancy on disk
level.

The MHW‑S380R6‑EL Management Server is ideal for
medium-sized environments where no internal RAID
protection for the operating system is needed. Please
refer to the respective application data sheets to get
detailed information.
Note The MHW‑S380R6‑EL base unit does not
come with a predefined language but offers a
choice of language options. One of the
localization kits listed under Ordering
Information must be selected when ordering.
The MHW‑S380R6‑ELUS base unit comes with
a US localization kit.
