Limitations
•SONY 5
th
generation cameras set with motion-detection using MJPEG or MPEG4 will present
the limitation that if H.264 has been used for the primary stream, it cannot be used for the
secondary. Video Motion Detection is only available on MJPEG video stream.
For Sony Cameras of 3
rd
and 4
th
Generation, the NVR Advanced Edit Web Page may not permit
the user to change codec to MPEG4 (as the fields may appear empty) when the user changes to
this camera codec configuration. If the user requires MPEG4 codec configuration, please upload
the latest NVR 4.2.1 camera pack to provide the codec configuration.
PTZ functions are not supported on all Sony Encoders due to the Sony API performance
limitation.
Relative Focus and Iris are not supported on all Sony Encoders.
PTZ functions are not supported on SNC-RZ50
Relative Iris is not supported, which means victor Client won’t be able to adjust the Iris. However
the absolute Iris adjustment is available through the Camera web page.
Digital PTZ is not supported.
SNC-CS50N/P, DF50N/P, SNC-DF80N/P, DF85N/P, RX530N/P, SNC-RX550N/P and RX570N/P
Due to SONY camera performance limitation on H.264 stream the camera can support only 1
video stream.
SNC-CM120, SNC-CS20, SNC-DM110, SNC-DM160, SNC-DS10 and SNC-DS60 Due to the
camera performance limitation on the RTSP/RTP protocol the camera can support only 1 video
stream, either MJPEG or MPEG4.
Due to SONY performance limitation with their 5
th
generation cameras, Dual Video Streaming
might not deliver the requested FPS or resolution for both streams. Recommended workaround:
Establish the primary, more-demanding stream first. From the NVR camera-
configuration web-page, use either Stream-1 or Stream-2 to establish the stream
with the larger resolution, the larger frame-rate, or the more process-intensive
codec (H.264). In a typical application, this would be for Record and for Live-
view. Note that for some camera models, H.264 codec at the maximum
