Troubleshooting
If you cannot resolve a fault, please contact your supplier or system administra-
tor or go directly to Bosch Security Systems Customer Service.
The version numbers of the internal processors can be viewed on a special
page. Make a note of this information before contacting Customer Service.
In the address bar of your browser, enter /version.htm after the IP
address of the VIP X1600 module (for example 192.168.0.16/ver-
sion.htm).
Write down the information or print out the page.
The following table is intended to help you identify the causes of malfunctions
and correct them where possible.
Malfunction Possible causes Solution
No connection
between module and
terminal program.
Incorrect cable connections. Check all cables, plugs, contacts
and connections.
The computer's serial inter-
face is not connected.
Check the other serial interface.
Interface parameters do not
match.
If necessary select a different inter-
face and make sure that the com-
puter's interface parameters match
those of the module. Try the follow-
ing standard parameters:
19,200 baud, 8 data bits, no parity,
1 stop bit. Next, disconnect the unit
from the power supply and recon-
nect it again after a few seconds.
No image transmis-
sion to remote sta-
tion.
Camera error. Connect local monitor to the cam-
era and check the camera function.
Faulty cable connections. Check all cables, plugs, contacts
and connections.
