TOP CAP, END CAP, GRILLE AND REAR COVER
INSTALLATION
Aligning the Top Cap, End Cap, Grille and
Rear Cover
Alignment of the outer cosmetic parts on the
SoundTouch™ 30 is critical during reassem-
bly. Follow the instructions below to ensure
the top cap, end cap, grille and rear cover are
aligned correctly based on the measurements
on pages 27 and 28 of this service manual.
1. Top Cap installation
1.1 Push down on the top cap and install the
4 middle screws.
1.2 Install the 4 outside screws and push
down on the end of the top cap assembly as
the screws are being installed.
2. End Cap Installation
2.1 Install the two screws at the top of the end
cap, squeezing the top cap and the endcap
together as the screws are installed.
2.2 Install the two middle screws to the end
cap making sure the top cap does not hang
over the end cap.
Apply pressure downward when installing
the front and rear outside screws
2.3 Install the two bottom screws while
applying presure inward at the bottom of the
end cap.
2. Grille Installation
2.4 Install the three screws to secure the
grille to the assembly. Squeeze the grille and
the end cap together as the screws are
installed.
2. Rear Cover Installation
2.5 Install the three screws to secure the
rear cover to the assembly. Squeeze the rear
cover and the end cap together as the
screws are installed.
Apply pressure inward
when installing the front
and rear bottom screws
