Assembly instructions for 800 UT-X knock down 1. Unpack parts from inside trailer bed, saving the cardboard lid to be used in Step 18. 2. With the help of 2 people, turn trailer bed upside down for assembly. Use cardboard from packaging to protect bed rails- be careful not to damage tailgate pins or D-rings. 3. Remove the 4 wooden blocks used for shipping and discard/recycle as shown in the photo left.
4. Mount subframe struts with shortest section of struts closest to the handle, photo left. Each strut is either Right or Left. Place each strut on the inside portion, flush with the bed, use bolts from package labeled AX. Leave bolts loose- do NOT tighten until Step 8. 5. Install bed rest to rectangular frame as shown in the photo above with the Striker pointing forward, use bolts from package labeled B.
. Take assembly portion from STEP 5 and install to struts as shown in photo above, with the taillight pointing toward the tailgate. Use pivot bolts from package labeled D. 7. Install cross bar to the struts with direction of ‘angle iron’ on the bottom as shown, use bolts from package labeled EX. Leave bolts loose- do NOT tighten until Step 8. 8. Tighten bolts that join bed and sub frame struts from Step 4. 9. Tighten bolts on cross bar from Step 7.
10. Install slam latch hook by aligning the angle of latch to the striker on the bed rest. See pictures above for proper hardware order. Tighten small bolt from hook to spring loaded pin only tight enough so hook and pin still move freely. Use hardware labeled I. 11. Install handle to the bed as shown in the photo left. Use hardware labeled J. 12. Mount idler axle to the frame with the swing arm pointing to the rear or taillight, use bolts from package labeled H.
13. Mount each wheel/tire assembly to the hubs with the 4 tapered lug nuts. Install with the valve stems facing away from the frame. Tighten the nuts gradually, alternating between nuts opposite each other to assure even seating of the wheel onto the axle. Inflate tire to recommended pressure on sidewall of tire (3-5 P.S.I.) 14. On the tongue assembly, connect the male electrical connectors to the female electrical connectors, ensuring that the colors of the wires match. BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE WIRES.
17. First bolt the piston of the gas shock and cable to the cross bar as shown in the photo left. Next raise the frame to position the mounting point for easier assembly. Finally bolt the other end of the gas shock to the frame including the other end of the cable. See photos for assistance. Use hardware labeled K. 18. Use cardboard and position as shown above to protect sides and wheels. 19. With the help of 2 people, carefully turn trailer over onto tires.
